A five panel appliquéd and quilted design. Inspired by a visit to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens visit at FOQ 2005. Depicts exotic leaves silhouetted against overcast skies. Uses black Hoffman batik and white sateen from Heide Stolle-Weber, with stripes of bright hand dyed and commercial batik fabric to add flashes of jungle colour. Quilted using cream Oliver silk thread, black Robison Anton rayon and YLI monofilament threads. Middle three panels made by Lesley, outer two panels by Meg.
